I've been flirting with the idea of joining the Classics Club for some time now, and I think it's finally time. Following is the list of 50 books I plan to have read by May 31, 2020. The ordering is taken from the list of the 100 best novels written in English, as chosen by Robert McCrum for the Guardian. (Since this list is currently a work in progress, I have listed just the first 50. And by the time I get through all of these, Lord willing, I will be ready for the last 50.) Several of the books on the list are actually re-reads but since it has been some time since I read them, I think they will count. And I think it's just as important to re-read great books as it is to read them the first time.
